Richard Hagar, SRA is founder and President of American Home Appraisals. He is:
- A licensed real estate agent since 1976
- Certified real estate appraiser since 1986
- An SRA with the Appraisal Institute
- One of the more senior appraisers in the State
- A major focus of his practice is providing appraisals and consulting services to the legal industry.
- He’s qualified as an expert witness in Washington and Colorado _(Federal Court)_
- Provided consultation to clients appearing before the State of Washington Supreme Court.
- Mr. Hagar creates and provides classes for Attorneys, Appraisers, Agents, and Mortgage Brokers.
- He helped write the laws that govern the mortgage industry (RCW 19.146 & RCW 18.310) and
- Has a very popular class on: Real Estate: Agent, Appraiser, and Mortgage Fraud
- The class is the first in the nation to be approved for all real estate professionals.

- He helped write the Mortgage Brokers Practices Act (RCW 19.146) which has become the model for license laws in 11 other states
